The program for the 14th edition of the event includes: public policies, investments, passenger rights, operations, blockchain and legal uncertainty

One of the most outstanding conferences on aviation law is already set to take place. ALTA Aviation Law Americas will be held on September 14 to 16 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It will be three days of discussion about the legal challenges for aviation, financial issues and aeropolitical aspects. The meeting will bring together leading experts from the legal area, airlines, authorities and regulatory agencies to exchange experiences and initiatives that will contribute to the regulatory future of civil aviation in the region. To join, just register through the website: altaaviationlaw.com. Places are limited.

ALTA’s Executive Director & CEO, José Ricardo Botelho, expresses the joy of resuming the event after it was postponed due to the pandemic. "ALTA Aviation Law Americas is one of the most important legal meetings of the commercial aviation sector in the region, and we are very pleased to announce its return to the calendar of actions we promote annually. This meeting will be an occasion to exchange experiences and will have the presence of experts on the subject. This year we will bring many innovations to the agenda, including the topic on blockchain and how it is revolutionizing the way that consumers can buy and use trips, as well as the use of technologies and data generated in the operation and deployment of SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel)”, he stated.

"In the last year, seven law firms have joined ALTA as consulting members. This type of consulting allows us to bring to our work initiatives the knowledge of the markets and the discussion to improve the conditions for aviation to develop and for more people to use the safest and most efficient means of transport”, Botelho added.

ALTA Aviation Law Americas will feature ten panels addressing: Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF); support from the government to airlines; competitiveness; blockchain in the distribution of air tickets; taxes; regulation; challenges and lessons learned during the pandemic; legal uncertainty; and best practices to reduce costs. Among the speakers are representatives from TAP Air Portugal, LATAM Airlines Brasil, United Airlines and Avianca, as well as the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the law firms Di Ciero Advogados, Bernardi & Schnapp Advogados, Maluf e Rodrigues Advogados Novales Abogados, and Mattos Filho Advogados.
