Yesterday, the fourth session of the National Tourism Advisory Council was held in the secondary chapel of the Jesus de Tavarangué Guaraní Jesuit Mission, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Tourism, Sofía Montiel de Afara.
In the first instance, as invited to this session, the general director of the National Directorate of Migration, Ángeles Arriola, made a report to the councilors on the current situation of Migration in the area and in all the entry points to the country. A joint effort was agreed to continue facilitating the arrival of foreigners to Paraguay.
In addition, he reported on the data and facilities offered by the institutional website of the Directorate under his charge; and the current exceptions of foreign visa in concept of Tourism.
At another time, the technical adviser of SENATUR, Andrés Ortíz, was in charge of presenting the “Ruta de los Saltos” tourist route, an initiative that intends to be promoted initially in the departments of Itapúa and Alto Paraná and later in other destinations. from the country.
Doris Penoni, General Director of Tourism Products, emphasized the need for coordinated work in a public-private partnership, for the consolidation of impact data related to the "Meetings Tourism in Paraguay" segment.
In conclusion, the Minister of Tourism thanked those present for traveling to the UNESCO World Heritage Site as the setting for this fourth session, as well as those who participated through the virtual format from Asunción and other parts of the country.
This fourth meeting was attended by representatives of the public institutions that make up the council and tourist trade associations.
