The low cost airline announced at a press event its new international route that will connect Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro

JetSMART reported today that it will begin flying to the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro starting on December 6 of this year, with an offer of three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The tickets start from the final $29,200 pesos with taxes included for the section that begins at the Ezeiza International Airport.

In this way, JetSMART adds its fourth international route from Argentina, after Chile, Peru and Paraguay, recently announced.

“The new route from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro symbolizes another great milestone for JetSMART in the country and within the region. It brings us one step closer to our vision of connecting 100 million people by 2028”, says Victor Mejía, Chief Commercial Officer of JetSMART. “Just two weeks ago we announced the route that connects Argentina with Paraguay. These announcements are possible thanks to the great work of the JetSMART team of collaborators and the investment we continue to make in Argentina, which allows us to continue generating employment and adding new aircraft to our fleet, which will have a total of eight aircraft by the end of the year. ”, adds the executive.

“Without a doubt, we are very excited about Brazil for everything it represents in terms of opportunities. Brazilians know that they can come to Argentina to vacation, eat well and see incredible landscapes and this generates employment and more income for the country”, says Gonzalo Pérez Corral, General Manager of Argentina.
From the commercial management of JetSMART in Argentina, they point out that the flight will also be an opportunity for Argentines to take advantage of the last long weekend of the year, as well as schedule vacations in a nearby, accessible destination and pay in pesos.

“We see that Argentines, like the rest of the South American countries, are returning to buy tickets with greater anticipation, the one that had been lost with the pandemic. We have very good expectations with all the domestic routes for this spring-summer season, as well as with the four international routes that we offer today from Argentina”, explains Darío Ratinoff.

JetSMART has achieved, in just six years, an important offer throughout the region and continues to develop a fleet of aircraft that allows it to have an efficient operation to offer affordable prices so that more people can fly.
