Visit Buenos Aires participates in GNetwork in Madrid
Within the framework of its international promotion plan focused on certain strategic segments, Visit Buenos Aires made a destination presentation at the special edition of GNetwork in Madrid.
Visit Buenos Aires, the city's public-private international promotion agency, participated in the 14th edition of GNetwork, which took place in Madrid between September 7 and 8.
GNETWORK360 is the largest LGBTIQ+ tourism and marketing event in Latin America, bringing together more than 1,800 attendees from 18 countries each year. On this occasion, Visit Buenos Aires, represented by Fernado Amer, General Director of Tourism Development of the City Tourism Entity, made a destination presentation emphasizing how Buenos Aires works to attract travelers from the LGBTIQ+ community.
During the opening ceremony of the event, the General Director of Tourism Development mentioned that inclusion and diversity must be priority management axes since they guarantee the progress of urban centers.
Visit BA's 2022 Promotion and Communication Plan seeks to position the City as the most attractive destination in Latin America, with a focus on the strategic segments MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions), luxury tourism and LGBTQ+, international student segments and digital nomads.
According to data from the Argentine Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, organizer of the event, the members of the LGBTIQ+ community who visited Argentina in 2019 were around 600 thousand and their spending is on average 30% higher than that of travelers from other segments of the tourism market. Visit Buenos Aires, the CCGLAR and the city's Tourism Entity are joining forces to recover that number of arrivals to the city between 2023 and 2024.
