The boutique hotel brand expands its offer and presence in the Riviera Maya of Mexico


IHG Hotels & Resorts announces a new signing for its boutique brand Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, with the signing of its first all-inclusive resort. Together with Sunset World, resort owner and operator Playa Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hacienda Tres Ríos Resort, Spa & Nature Park will bring the brand's signature luxury to Playa del Carmen in early 2024.

 This award-winning environmentally conscious resort, originally opening in November 2008, will not only be added to the Kimpton portfolio, but will also undergo an interior renovation to its 255 architecturally acclaimed guest rooms, suites and villas. Guests will enjoy amenities and activities such as 11 distinct culinary concepts, five swimming pools, a private beach, a world-class spa, fitness center, and various family facilities ranging from a kids' club to water sports. For those looking to meet or celebrate beachside, the resort will also house a total of 2,435 square meters of meeting and event space in 12 ballrooms.

Located in the heart of the Riviera Maya in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, Kimpton Hacienda Tres Ríos will live up to its name thanks to the three freshwater rivers that flow through the Natural Park's 132 hectares of well-preserved tropical forest. Three Rivers. Throughout the complex and natural park, guests can explore 10 cenotes and discover more than 90 species of animals and 120 species of plants. As one of the natural treasures of the area, Tres Ríos is governed by strict environmental regulations for sustainable tourism.

 Debuting its first all-inclusive, this resort will join the 72-room Kimpton Aluna Hotel in Tulum as Kimpton's second property in the Riviera Maya.
