The 44th edition of the event takes place in Panama City

More than 250 travel industry professionals from twenty (20) countries, including buyers from global markets and suppliers from Latin America, attend the latest annual edition of TravelMart LatinAmerica (TMLA'22) in Panama City, Panama, on September 21, 22 and 23. More than 2,000 pre-scheduled Buyer-Supplier appointments, and many more on-site, took place during two days of business sessions at the Sortis Hotel, Spa & Casino, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel.

Buyers and journalists from global markets meet with suppliers representing Central and South America during three (3) days of carefully structured business and social activities. The TravelMart LatinAmerica format includes two (2) full days dedicated exclusively to pre-scheduled business appointments that this time take place at the Sortis Hotel, Spa & Casino convention facilities. Other activities include a welcome reception at the Sortis Hotel, Spa & Casino Rooftop Sky Lounge; Business lunches; and the Closing/Farewell Party at RIU Plaza Panamá.

TravelMart LatinAmerica was first held in Lima, Peru in 1978. This will be the fourth time that this prestigious Latin American tourism business development event has been held in Panama. The Event was previously held in the country in 1979, 1995 and 2006. The last in-person TMLA was held in Quito, Ecuador in 2019.

TMLA'22 travel industry “Buyers” come from the world's largest markets, including the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and the Pacific. They will be negotiating products and services in all price segments: 80% of Buyers are looking for Luxury/Luxury services; 81% will book "moderate" priced products/services; and 30% of Buyers have trips at affordable prices. (Note: Most TMLA'22 buyers have multiple price segments.) Buyers have the opportunity to meet more than 70 supplier companies representing all market/price segments for all destinations in Central and South America.
