Festuris: Argentina was the first Guest of Honor
The INPROTUR team, led by its Executive Secretary, Ricardo Sosa, reaffirmed the good position of the country in one of the main fairs in southern Brazil
More than 600 thousand tourists received from January to October, recovery of 65 percent of Brazilian arrivals in the last 6 months compared to the same period in 2019 (pre-pandemic), trade missions to destinations never reached such as Manaus and the reactivation of direct flights to Buenos Aires from Brasilia, Curitiba and Porto Alegre.
These, among other achievements, have enabled Argentina to position itself strongly in Brazil, the main market for its receptive tourism. With this significant growth, the country was presented at Festuris Gramado with the privilege of being the first Country Guest of Honor of the fair.
“Having this distinction fills us with pride and drives us to continue generating more and more actions in Brazil because we know that it is our main market and because we also seek to offer new proposals and advances, such as those we achieved this year in connectivity. We are in Gramado to tell Brazilian tourism that Argentina is very convenient, with excellent options in its six regions throughout the year”, said the Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), Ricardo Sosa, who yesterday received the Award. Friends Festuris by the authorities of the fair.
During the first day with the Brazilian trade, the INPROTUR delegation held meetings with the companies Planalto, Grupo GJP Special Travel, Orinter, Azul Viagens and Azul Linhas Aereas, and with the head of UGART, Fabian Saraiva.
The INPROTUR team is accompanied by the Consul of Argentina in Porto Alegre, Jorge Perren, the destinations Chubut, Mendoza and Visit Buenos Aires, and the companies Aerolineas Argentinas, Distintos, Conextur, Quality Travel, Assistravel, AMV Travel Argentina DMC, Palladio Hotel Buenos Aires MGallery, La Ventana/Gala/Aljibe/Michelangelo, Patagonia Dreams, Máximo Destino, Aymara Turismo and Estuario del Plata convened by the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT).
