National and international destinations will be mentioned in FITUR LGBT+

The FITUR section specialized in enhancing the diversity of different destinations will be celebrated this year under the claim “Love for travelling”

FITUR LGBT+, the section of FITUR, specialized in the LGBT segment, convenes a new edition in the framework of the first great annual event of the tourism industry, which will be held from the 18th to the 22nd of January de 2023 at IFEMA MADRID. This area, as in previous editions, will feature conferences and presentations in which different themes will be developed with the aim of revitalizing tourism and enhancing the diversity of different destinations. "Love for traveling" will be the claim of this edition, which will be sponsored one year later by Iberia.

FITUR LGBT+ will highlight the preferences and motivations of LGBT+ travelers, good practices in inclusive tourism and trends in inclusive events and experiences, as well as the different destinations that will show their proposals in this area.

FITUR LGBT+ will be officially inaugurated on the 18th day of the year, in an act to which institutional representatives from the different Administrations will attend. El jueves 19 and el viernes 20 will be especially dedicated to national and international destinations, with the aim of enhancing and revitalizing tourism.

Destinations and companies

Representatives of destinations and companies such as Madrid, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Extremadura, Euskadi, Castilla-La Mancha, Zaragoza, Andalucía, Torremolinos, Comunidad Valenciana, Miami, Buenos Aires, Loottis, Gran Muthu Rainbow, Bolleras Viajeras, JN Global Project, Asoc . Diversa Global or the Red Española de Destinos por la Diversidad LGTBI, among others, will deal with topics on international tourism; the institutional tourism strategy; the inclusive sport; the metaverso, and the wedding sector among others.

Key questions such as the challenges of communication media, digitization in LGBT+ Tourism, sustainability or new family models will also be addressed.

Finally, during the weekend (Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of night) different shows and activities will be offered, in a more playful format for the general public.
