Iberia seeks to strengthen Argentine tourism
The Spanish airline and the National Institute for Tourism Promotion finalized details to start at FITUR with a new promotion project to promote travel from Spain to Argentina
During the WTM fair that takes place in London from November 7 to 9, Argentina, through the National Institute for Tourism Promotion, met with the authorities of the Spanish airline Iberia to outline strategies to encourage Spanish tourists and other European nationalities to travel to our country. The meeting was attended by the Executive Secretary of INPROTUR, Ricardo Sosa, the Secretary of Institutional Relations of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism, Horacio Reppucci, the Director of Sales for Latin America and Institutional Agreements of Iberia, Víctor Moneo Ocaña, and the Agreements Manager Iberia Institutional Sales Representatives, Isabel Orozco Carrasco.
The objective is to be able to consolidate this strategy from the FITUR 2023 fair that will take place in Madrid, Spain and to be able to give it more diffusion due to its context.
Sosa expressed: “It is important to highlight the decision of both parties to increase sales to Argentina, supporting and working together. Spain is the main European market that sends tourists to our country and the second with the most recovery compared to pre-pandemic numbers. But it is also important because of the large number of connections and routes with the rest of Europe”.
Among the guidelines analyzed, the realization of fam tours with marketing and training workshops, among other actions, is highlighted.
Iberia currently has daily flights to Buenos Aires from Madrid and Barcelona, with more than 21 weekly frequencies.
