Brazil promoted its renowned destinations at FITPAR 2022
In addition to reinforcing Rio, Florianópolis and Foz do Iguaçu as great options for Paraguayans, Embratur will expand the shelf of alternatives during a fair in Paraguay
The Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion participated in the International Tourism Fair of Paraguay (FITPAR). After two years without taking place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Asunción event served as a bridge for Embratur and its 14 co-exhibitors to carry out business and alliances with international trade.
The traditional fair brought together important companies related to tourism, agencies and operators from Paraguay and other countries. According to the president of Embratur, Silvio Nascimento, this was a "great opportunity to strengthen Brazilian destinations as the best travel option for our neighbors."
Due to the fact that Brazil is a strongly consolidated destination in the Paraguayan market – the country was the 4th largest source of tourists for Brazil in 2020 (122,981) –, the strategy adopted by Embratur at the fair was to reinforce the main destinations, with priority in the sun and beach tourism segment and also to diversify the platform, adding the nature and culture segments.
The niches that were worked with priority were: resorts/all-inclusive, weddings, honeymoons, sports, experiential tourism, events (cultural, sports, artistic, etc.), in the most diverse destinations. In addition, Embratur highlighted the advertising campaign "Come experience the heat of Brazil!", which will be launched in the second half of this month in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Colombia, Peru and Panama.
