Mexico: new typical food restaurants at the Hard Rock Hotel
The establishments are now part of the nine gastronomic proposals present in the development
The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, located in Mexico, inaugurated this November two new themed restaurants, UMO and WAI, inspired by Thai and Mexican cuisine, respectively. Both come to add to the gastronomic proposals of the establishment, which operates in the all-inclusive format, allowing guests to pay the daily rates with meals included in the hotel. With the new establishments, the Riviera Maya development now operates with nine dining spaces.
With salty, sweet and spicy recipes, Wai is based on preparing foods with different herbs and spices present in various menu options, such as mint. Some of the typical dishes served in the space are handmade noodles (Thai noodles) and curry, a food made from curry paste, coconut milk, meat, seafood, vegetables, fruits and herbs. The establishment is open from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and is located in the Heaven space, next to the Eden pool. The place has 90 seats inside the environment and 30 in the external structure of the restaurant.
UMO uses seasonal and typical Mexican ingredients to prepare its dishes. The property features a Mayan-style oven and an underground clay oven, which allows items such as pork to be smoked, grilled, or grilled. Some of the most popular items on the menu are the homemade tortillas and guacamole. The venue is open from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and is also located in the Heaven space, next to the Eden pool. The interior space has 148 places, but there are still 34 available outside the establishment.
“Themed restaurants meet the demand of our hotel guests. For this reason, we chose to bring more options to the development so that visitors have new options to choose from when eating. The dishes on the menus are the best-known from a given country, while at the same time they have signature touches to make the recipes more elegant and attractive”, points out Leonel Reyes, corporate director for Latin America at RCD Hotels, the chain that operates the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.
