Major appointments at Radisson Hotel Group Americas
The hotel chain has appointed Tom Buoy as Executive Vice President and Commercial Director and Michael Fischer as Director of Human Resources
Radisson Hotel Group Americas today announced the appointment of Tom Buoy as the new Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Michael Fischer as Chief Human Resources Officer. Both leaders will join the Executive Committee of Radisson Hotel Group Americas. In his role, Buoy will be responsible for bringing a visionary and thoughtful approach to shaping business strategies, along with building and executing plans to support the success of the business. Fischer will lead all aspects of Human Resources to grow the inclusive culture, talent development, employee engagement and sustainability efforts of Radisson Hotel Group Americas.

Most recently, Buoy served as President and CEO of his own consulting company. During his career, the executive also led business transformation at Extended Stay America, leveraging an agile and data-driven approach to review the company's sales, marketing and revenue management processes. In addition, he served as Senior Vice President of Customer Marketing and Revenue Management for Morgans Hotel Group (formerly Ian Schrager Hotels) and worked on operations and revenue management with Accor Hotels in Australia.
Prior to joining Radisson Hotel Group, Fischer served as Director of Human Resources at White Lodging, one of the leading hotel ownership, development and management companies in the United States. In this role, he was responsible for all areas of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, culture development and engagement, training, development and talent management. Fischer also served as Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Loews Hotels and in roles of increasing responsibility at the property level and above in Human Resources for Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
