Volaris reports traffic results for June
The airline transported 2.4 million passengers, which is the highest number in its entire history and represents an increase of 10.4% compared to June 2021
Volaris, the ultra-low-cost airline operating in Mexico, the United States of America, Central and South America, reports its preliminary traffic results for June 2022.
Volaris capacity (measured in ASMs) increased 17.2% compared to June 2021, while demand (measured in RPMs) increased 10.9% compared to the same period of the previous year; load factor stood at 84.4% (-4.7 pp YoY). During the month, Volaris transported 2.4 million passengers, which represents an increase of 10.4% compared to June 2021. In addition, the passenger demand (RPMs) of Volaris in the domestic and international market had an increase of 9.9% and 13.5%, respectively, compared to June 2021. Year-to-date, demand (measured in RPMs) increased 34.5% YoY, with load factor increasing 1.1 pp to 84.0%.
Commenting on June traffic figures, Volaris CEO and CEO Enrique Beltranena said: “Volaris continues to be disciplined in adding capacity to meet passenger demand. During the quarter, the company passed on a portion of the fuel price increase through fare increases or, in certain cases, reassigned flights to more profitable routes. We will continue to be nimble and responsive to market conditions in the coming months."
