The objective of the event is to train professionals to receive international visitors

The event promoted by Embratur and Sebrae takes place today and lasts four hours, divided into four stages that simulate tourist behavior before, during and after travel experiences.

Representatives of public tourism agencies, associations, entrepreneurs, operators, agents, students and other professionals in the segment participate in the workshops. Subsidies are offered in strategic markets for each type of business and updating of tourism trends in the world to these participants, who must implement actions that improve the provision of tourism services.

“It is extremely important to qualify the service provided in our sector. With the deepening of knowledge about strategic markets and the behavior of foreign tourists, we ensure that our main destinations can offer excellent services”, says the president of Embratur, Silvio Nascimento.

This semester, the event has already passed through Sergipe, Paraíba, Pernambuco and Rio Grande do Norte and six other cities will continue to be covered until the end of 2022. This Friday (16), the training will take place in Joinville (SC). Ten states have already received the training in the first half of 2022 and in total, 54 cities should receive the initiative by 2024.

In 2019, 152,221 foreign visitors entered Brazil through the state of Bahia, an increase of 2.4% compared to the previous year. The main issuers were Argentina, with 54.4%, followed by Portugal, with 8.8% and Italy, with 6.7% of international tourists.
